Mena Alexandra (born on February 13, 1979) is a model and actress from the United States. In 1990, shortly after beginning her career as a model, she began acting in TV shows such as Boy Meets World. She had her first film performance in 1997's drama Nowhere. She made the transition to important roles thanks to her performance on American Beauty for which she received nominations for a BAFTA Award and American Pie each of which garnered her wider attention. She was in the film industry for a year, and starred alongside her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. In 2001, she took on the main role on the film Sugar & Spice (2000). She also was a part in Spun the drama by an independent company and 2004's thriller Trauma. The actress was a part of HBO's drama show Six Feet Under. In 2004 she received an award for an Outstanding Cast member in the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she was featured in several movies like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and as in the adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari appeared on fashion blogs as well as in magazines like Vogue and Lancome Paris Adaptive print ads. She's been an activist and supporter of the African Medical and Research Foundation.
