Nathalie Emmanuel

Nathalie Emmanuel, a British actor, best known for her role as Missandei (HBO's fantasy epic Game of Thrones) from the year 2011 until 2019, was the first British actress. Emmanuel was raised in Southend-on-the-Sea the name of a resort located in Essex and discovered her love for the arts of performing from a young age. She was noticed by her mother as she grew older, and by the time Nathalie was three-years-old, her parents took her to the singing, dancing and acting classes. Emmanuel gained speed as a actor and, by the late 90s she was playing a young Nala as Nala in the West End show of the acclaimed show "The The Lion King." Emmanuel was a candidate for roles in TV and film when she was just a teenager. She nabbed her first big break in 2007 when she was cast as Sasha Valentine on the British soap opera "Hollyoaks" (Channel 4, 1995- ). Emmanuel played Sasha Valentine for four years before leaving Hollyoaks in the year 2010. Emmanuel had her second break just three years later and was cast as Missandei on HBO's Game of Thrones. She played the interpreter of Daenerys (played by Emilia Clarke). Emmanuel continued to be character in each seasons of HBO's "Game of Thrones" through the finale in May of 2019.
