Mena Alexandra Suvari (born February 13 1979) is an American model and actress. She is also a fashion designer model. After a brief stint as a model for fashion, she quickly transitioned to acting, appearing as guest actors on television shows like Boy Meets World in the 1990s as well as High Incident. She made her film debut in 1997's dramatic film Nowhere. Following her appearance in American Beauty (for which she received an award from the BAFTA Award) and American Pie which attracted her more attention, she made her transition into major roles. The actress has appeared in the co-star of American Pie Jason Biggs in Loser (2000) as well as the main character for the film Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun the 2002 independent drama film and Trauma (2004) thrillers were also part of her professional career. In 2004, she was a guest on HBO's drama Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award in for 2005 in the category of Outstanding Ensemble. She was also cast in Day of the Dead and The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and in the film versions of The Garden of Eden.
